Adoption is the final step in the life-changing process we begin when we rescue an animal. At Core Compassion, our mission doesn’t end with rescue or rehabilitation; it ends when an animal finds its forever home. Adoption gives our rescued invertebrates a chance to experience love and care, often for the first time.
When you adopt an animal, you’re saving a life and gaining a loyal companion who will bring joy and love into your home. Many of the animals at Core Compassion have been through difficult times, but with proper care and rehabilitation, they are ready to be a part of a loving family.
Adopting from a shelter is also a meaningful way to combat the cycle of animal overpopulation. Thousands of animals are abandoned yearly, and many end up in overcrowded shelters. By adopting, you are helping to reduce the number of homeless animals and making room for more rescues.
We take great care in matching the rescued animals with suitable families. Our adoption process ensures that the home environment, family lifestyle, and animals’ temperament are all considered to create the best possible fit. We support new pet parents, helping them transition their adopted animals into a forever family member.
